Conclusion/Comments: A really well organised small village race on the edge of constable country. A challenging course so it's not a PB course. You get the impression organisers are happy to keep this race fairly low key and hence keep the friendly atmosphere rather than making it too mainstream. The facilities would struggle with, say double the entries. A quick prize giving at finish with good quality prizes on other and unique t-shirts for winners.

Conclusion/Comments: A very well organised race with great atmosphere. A race website is really needed for previous results and more information on the race and directions to the location. The good value for refreshments and a children’s play area makes the race very family friendly. The start and finish are in the same area so spectators can see runners at two points of the race. Overall the Capel 1 is a very good and fun race.
