Conclusion/Comments: A well organised race with a great atmosphere around the Market Hill. A toughish course on good quality undulating roads. Roads are closed off. A larger proportion of 'occasional' runners than in many other local races. The race fills up at least 3-4 weeks in advance, A waiting list is put into operation. The race has a long unbroken history dating back to the early '80's' with small variations to the course.  This race used to be run in the heat of July, but is now run in potentially more comfortable May weather conditions. There is even the odd celebrity that may be seen running this race!
